SURF'S up!

The teens have voiced out their favorites as the turquoise carpet rolled down at Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, California for the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on Sunday.

Hosted by Pretty Little Liars’ Lucy Hale and Glee’s Darren Criss, the awards celebrated the past year’s achievements in music, television, film, and sports. More than 150 million votes were casted by teen viewers aged 13 to 19.

Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2 bagged seven out of its nine nominations having the highest number of surfboards received; Choice Movie (Sci-Fi Fantasy), Choice Movie (Romance), Choice Movie Scene Stealer, and Choice Movie Liplock are among the awards.

The star of the TCA awards is neither One Direction, who won seven, nor Justin Bieber, who won four awards, but Glee star Lea Michele, who made her first public appearance after boyfriend and co-star Cory Monteith’s death last July 13.

Michele brought the audience to tears when she received the Choice TV Actress for Comedy award in honor of her lost lover. Esteemed in a pink dress, Michele thanked her fans for their unwavering support during her difficult times.

"I wanted to dedicate this award to Cory, for all you out there that loved and admired Cory as much as I did. I promise that with your love, we're going to get through this together,” she said while holding her gold “Cory” necklace.

Monteith died of a lethal mixture of heroin and alcohol in his hotel room in Vancouver. The 5th season of the FOX comedy show “Glee” is expected to hit the television on September 26.

Demi Lovato and Fifth Harmony presented ACUVUE® Inspire Award to award-winning musician Nick Jonas for promoting diabetes awareness and healthy lifestyle.
